Bhatkal hobli in Uttara Kannada district records maximum rainfall

MANGALORE: Bhatkal hobli in Bhatkal taluk inUttara Kannada district recorded maximum rainfall of 101.5mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on Tuesday. Puttur hobli in Puttur taluk of Dakshina Kannada district recorded maximum temperature of 34.2°C on September 23 at 1.30pm. Madikeri hobli in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu recorded lowest minimum temperature of 16.9°C on September 24 at 3.30am.More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 29% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over Karnataka is considered isolated since 14% of hoblis/gram panchayats recorded rainfall greater than or equal to 2.5mm. Rainfall was widespread and fairly widespread in one district each; scattered in five; isolated in 10 four; and negligible in 19 districts.
