Just when it looked like that the Telugu Titans will face a humiliating upset against the Bengal warriors, they made a remarkable comeback scoring 10 quick points in the last 3 minutes, which resulted in a credible tie. The match ultimately ended in a 34-34 points tie.
The match though will be more remembered for the remarkable differences in the fortune of the two teams over the two halves. In the opening half, the Titans started well and were leading for most of the match. But the Bengal Warriors made a remarkable comeback and surprisingly ended the half with a 17-15 lead.
The second half saw the Bengal Warriors take the early charge as they extended their 2 points lead to 10 points lead. With just 3 minutes left, it looked like this would be a memorable win for the Warriors, the Vizag team made a remarkable comeback under the leadership of star raider Rahul Chowdhary and Deepak Hooda and scored quick points while wasting very little time.
The star for the warriors though was the Korean raider Jaan Kun Lee. He was the key reason for the extension of then 2 points lead into 10 points. He made good use of his height and reach and supported his teams surprisingly good defence. Although star raider Rahul Chowdhary was the star of their comeback in the second half, it was his failure in the first half that was the reason for his team losing the lead in the first half. He was dismissed twice to a defence of 3 or less, costing his team 4 points. The result means that there will be no change in the positions of the team after this match and Vizag will retain their 4th spot while Kolkata will be on a miserable 7th.
